QUESTION #1 - Why haven't I received my ringtone?
Most of the time you don’t see the email is because it has put our email in your SPAM (or junk/bulk) folder. If you still can’t find our emails, go to one of the following URLs:

QUESTION #2 - Why did I not receive a ringtone file attachment in my email?
We don’t send a physical file directly to you, we send you a link to your personalized ringtone. Simply click on the ringtone to download to your computer (Note: Some users have to right-click on the URL to download).
MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD TO YOUR COMPUTER AND NOT TO YOUR IPHONE!!!

QUESTION #3 – How do I download the ringtone to my computer?
Most web browsers will automatically ask you to where you want to save the file when you click on the URL in the email you received. However, some will require you to “right click” or “double click” on the URL.

QUESTION #4 – Why won’t it accept my email address when I request a ringtone?
The reason you receive that message is most likely because you are not able to connect to the internet. If you are not using the 3G network and using a local area network, some of those networks restrict iPhone access to the web. Do you know how you are connecting to the internet and are you able to go to:
http://www.imakesounds.com
and see the website? If not, you are being blocked in some capacity.

QUESTION #5 – Why don’t I hear any sounds in the application? (Make sure your phone isn't on vibrate mode.)
The sound of the application is independent of the phone's overall volume or ringer volume. Sometimes it is just automatically set to mute when our application first runs. So, the way you fix this is to: 1) Start the app, 2) Click on one of the sound names, and 3) Press the up volume button on the side of your phone. This should fix it!

QUESTION #6 – Aaargh! Why don’t you just install the ringtone directly on my iPhone?
Oh, believe us…if we could install directly on to your iPhone, we would in a second. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to install ringtones directly on to the iPhone. (In fact NOBODY can install ringtones directly on to your iPhone.) The process of emailing you the ringtone and having you use iTunes is the ONLY method allowed. As soon as we are allowed to install directly on to the phone, we will update our process!

QUESTION #7 - What is the difference between “1001 Ringtones” and “1001 Ringtones Pro”?
They have all the same ringtones. The only difference is that the Pro version plays the full lenght of the ringtone while the regular version plays on the first five seconds of each ringtone. However, you do receive the exact same ringtone from either application when you request it to be sent to you. Some people were concerned about size so we made two different versions.

QUESTION #8 – Why won’t my ringtones sync from iTunes to my iPhone?
It could be one of two things. #1 – Do you have a red exclamation mark next to each ringtone? If so, the problem is that iTunes requires the original file to remain in the same location after they are copied into the iTunes ringtone folder. You have either deleted the original file or moved it. #2 – It may be that you don’t have iTunes configured properly to transfer the ringtones. So, in iTunes you will see on the left side a folder called "Devices" and then a sub-category with your iPhone listed. Please click on that and make sure you have "Sync Ringtones" and "All Ringtones" selected.

QUESTION #9 - Can we use the custom sounds for our text messages and alerts?
Well, we thought this was going to happen in the new release of the iPhone, but it does not look like it happened. We are inquiring about if/when this will be enabled in the future.
